Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets skin-on
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Honey Garlic Glaze

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

Preparation

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry and season with salt and pepper. This step helps achieve a crispy skin when searing.
  • In a cast iron skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the salmon fillets skin-side down.
  • Let the salmon cook undisturbed for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Serving

  • In the same skillet, add butter, minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Stir and let it simmer until it thickens slightly.
  • Return the salmon to the skillet and coat with the glaze using a basting brush. Serve hot.

Storage

  • Let the salmon cool completely and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
