Equipment

  • 1 large skillet non-stick
  • 1 spatula

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 tilapia fillets
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Instructions

Preparation

  • Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper. Mince the garlic and chop the parsley.

Serving

  • Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Place the tilapia fillets in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the fillets from the skillet. Add the remaining butter to the skillet, letting it melt, then pour over the fillets. Squeeze lemon juice over the top and garnish with parsley.

Storage

  • Place any leftovers in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in a skillet or microwave before serving.
