Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 tongs

Ingredients

Fish and Seasoning

  • 1 lb cod fillets cut into strips
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Toppings

  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 4 corn tortillas
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut the cod fillets into even strips. In a mixing bowl, combine chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Coat each piece of fish with the seasoning mixture and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  • Set your air fryer to 400°F and preheat for a few minutes before adding the fish.
  • Place the seasoned fish strips in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching. Cook for 8-10 minutes, turning halfway through, until the fish is crispy and cooked through.

Serving

  • Warm the corn tortillas using a skillet or microwave. Place a few pieces of cooked fish on each tortilla, top with shredded cabbage and avocado slices. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top before serving.
  • Serve your fish tacos immediately with additional lime wedges on the side for extra flavor.

Storage

  • Place any leftover fish in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to two days. Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes to regain crispiness before serving.

Notes

Pro Tips: Ensure the fish is dry before seasoning for better adhesion. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.
Ingredient Substitutions: Tilapia or haddock can be used instead of cod. Use flour tortillas for a different texture.
How to Serve: Serve with fresh salsa or guacamole for added flavor.
Storage & Freshness: Store leftover fish in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days.
