  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste

  • 1 tsp horseradish
  • 1 tbsp chives chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

Preparation

  • Leave the cream cheese out at room temperature for about 30 minutes before starting to ensure it softens adequately.
  • Chop the smoked salmon into small pieces, and finely chop the red onion and dill.

  • Add the lemon juice, chopped dill, red onion, and black pepper to the mixture. Mix until well incorporated.
  • Gently fold in the chopped smoked salmon. Stir until the salmon is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

Serving

  • Spoon the mixture into a serving bowl and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Before serving, garnish with additional dill or chives if desired. Serve with crackers or vegetable sticks.
