Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 mixing bowls medium
  • 1 tongs

Ingredients

Fish

  • 1 pound white fish fillets such as cod or tilapia
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Taco Assembly

  • 2 limes zested and juiced
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce optional

Instructions

Preparation

  • Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. In a bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge each fillet in the mixture and drizzle with olive oil.
  • Set the air fryer to 400°F and let it preheat while you prepare the fish.
  • Place the seasoned fish fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.

Serving

  • Warm the corn tortillas either in a skillet or microwave until they are soft and pliable.
  • Spread sour cream on each tortilla, place a portion of fish on top, and add shredded cabbage and cilantro. Squeeze lime juice over the tacos and add hot sauce if desired.

Storage

  • Keep any leftover fish in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes before serving.
